What Reaching Our Milestone Goal Would Mean
$200 per Each update
Darryl and I aren't just webcomic creators, we're also self publishers having published trade paperback editions of our webcomics "GAAK"...

And "The Continentals"...

As well as recently publishing our very first children's book "Chevalier the Queen's Mouseketeer: The Hither and Yon"...

Based on our webcomic "Chevalier". Our current Print-On-Demand service (Lulu) doesn't provide industry standard discounts or return policies insisted upon by bookstores for the books they stock, severely hindering our marketing/ promotional efforts to bookstores. Meeting our milestone goal would give us the money to publish, market, promote, and distribute all of our print books including the upcoming second book in the "Chevalier" fairy tale fantasy series for kids "Chevalier the Queen's Mousketeer: For Queen and Country" ourselves without being hampered by our current Print-On-Demand publishing situation. We hope that you'll support us in our effort to take our publishing future into our own hands.

About

I have been working in comics, graphic arts, and illustration since the mid-80's, and have lived in the Fredericton, N.B. area since 1978. Recently, I have been doing more painting, and display my work at Brookside Gallery, a co-op gallery in Fredericton. My biggest influences in comics work have been Alex Toth, Will Eisner, Milton Caniff, Osamu Tezuka, Frank Springer, Berni Wrightson, Al Williamson and Wally Wood. Of late, I have worked on several self-published projects and several webcomic series, and since 2001 have been partnering with writer Darryl Hughes on three titles - GAAK, The Continentals, and Chevalier.

Greetings! I create webcomics, either as solo projects or in partnership with writer Darryl Hughes. We have already completed one project together, G.A.A.K., and are working on two more. One thing about being independent creators and self publishing is... it's hella expensive! We're grateful and glad for any encouragement and support we can get, and that includes money. Everybody likes money, we're no exception. Kudos to all our readers and supporters who have been with us from the start. Your patronage will help us bring you even more original content and entertainment.

About our graphic novels:

G.A.A.K. is a zany UFO invasion epic pitting four ordinary kids against a legion of shape-shifting groovy ghoulies led by the pop culture-obsessed alien commander Gakk. Their secret weapon against the invaders? Well, here's a hint: You get it from cows! "G.A.A.K" was a 2007 nominee for the "Rising Stars" category of the Glyph awards. This comic is now complete.

The Continentals: It's 1889. While investigating a series of brutal murders, Continental Operatives Jeffrey Tiffen Smythe and the gender bending adventuress Lady Fiona Fiziwigg uncover a tangled web of mystery, adventure--And murder! "The Continentals" was one of the Drunk Duck Award nominees for "Best Crime/Noir" for 2011 and 2012. Currently updated weekly

Chevalier, the Queen's Mousketeer: The noble kingdoms of The Land Ever After and The Far, Far Away are on the verge of war. A sinister plot is in play. The young Princess Faere has been mysteriously kidnapped. And all the evidence of the foul deed points to The Far, Far Away.
Chevalier the mouse goes off on a hero's quest to save the missing Princess, stop the looming war between two kingdoms--And fulfill his destiny. Chevalier  is the winner of the 2013 Drunk Duck Award "Best All Ages Comic" for 2013. Currently updated weekly.

All three of the above have also won "featured comic" status on Drunk Duck.

Your pledges and support will help us to keep on producing the most awesome and excellent comics that we can bring to you!
