I've gotten a couple questions about what's coming up, so here's our tentative schedule of releases for December through February:
December: Romance in the Air (coming in the next few days!)
January: Psychedemia (art complete and getting vetted)
February: Eagle Eyes (art is still underway on this)
And plenty more to come in the months after that — but not yet nailed down enough for us to be sure what things are happening when.
Now you know! Thanks as always for your support, and please let us know if you have any questions. :)
Thanks to all 84 Insiders who voted in the latest round of pitches from PK Sullivan. The winning pitch is... THE THREE ROCKETEERS!
The Queen’s enemies have disbanded the Rocketeers but duty cannot be set aside so easily. The Rocketeers now work from the shadows to protect the queen from threats both foreign and domestic. A deadly cabal of nobles and clergy threaten to usurp Her Majesty Queen Marie-Hélène’s throne and hand Gallia over to Pope Regulus IV. Only you and your compatriots can unravel the conspiracy. Journey through the Holy Roman Stellar Empire and the worlds of Britannica Solaria. Foreign spies and papal agents lurk in every shadow as the trap draws ever closer. A sharp blade and sharper wits will serve you well as interstellar powers play the game of puppets and shadows. The fate of the crown is in your hands. All for one and one for all!
Over the last week we ran another pitch-voting opportunity for our $12-and-up Insiders, and the results are in! We've added these two pitches to the front page. It'll be a while before they happen, of course, with our roster as full as it is, but that doesn't diminish our excitement. :)
Masters of Umdaar (by Dave Joria): Behold the fallen world of Umdaar, home to savage warriors, cyborg insects, and merciless warlords. Oh, and lasers—lots and lots of lasers. "Masters" is a retro tribute to such shiny serials as John Carter of Mars, Flash Gordon, He-Man, Thundercats, and many more!
Slip (by Chris Caporaso): Our universe is on the verge of colliding with another. Shadowy denizens from other worlds have begun to slip through into the dark places in ours, causing night terrors, disappearances, deaths, and worse. Most people choose to remain ignorant of the danger, but there are some who seek the cause and a way to stop it: a group known as Vigilance. Some members are afflicted with strange powers that appeared when the creatures did, while others simply want to protect their world and their sanity. You play as these investigators to learn all you can about the threat. Knowledge is your only weapon. Arm yourselves, stop the incursion, and try not to Slip.
Thanks to the 81 Insiders who shared their thoughts with us over the past week!
A Glimmer of Green Light
January 8, 2014 16:54:51
We've hit our third milestone! This is the real, first goal of this campaign — a full, if modest, budget for the creation of a 10,000 word adventure-world with a few black and white illustrations.
Effectively, at this point, the project (including its pitches) is "green lit".
We still have some preparatory work to do before we can get our writers writing and our artists arting, and we still have milestones ahead all oriented on making each offering better, of course.
But thanks to you all pledging over $1250 per adventure, each one now has a solid foundation and a solid budget to build upon.
So thank you again! This has been an amazing launch, and we're excited to see more Fate adventures make it out into the world. We would not and could not be doing it without your help, support, and guidance.
Folks at the "Insider" level of $12-per-adventure will be hearing from us soon as we start to make some choices about artists and priorities for release, once we have a chance to sort out things like schedules and our overall strategy (under Hat founder Rob Donoghue's supervision) for adventure design with our four pitch authors.
While that's happening we'll be working on finishing up Venture City Stories, and will be giving you some peeks into that process as we move it along.
Stay tuned, folks!
