I want to create more videos about the Irish Craft Beer revolution. Sure, you can do videos on your smartphone, but people want to see high quality videos, not s**t that looks like it came from the Blair Witch Project! Being able to fund new equipment will help achieve this.

About

The 11PM Somewhere Podcast is an explicit weekly podcast dedicated to promoting & pushing the Craft Beer revolution in Ireland one beer at a time, one craft beer virgin at a time. Beer in Ireland doesn't start with Black Stuff, nor should it be reduced to tastless, bland chemically loaded fizzy piss. Ireland's craft beer scene is teething, waiting to break free & introduce flavourful, aromatically interesting, mouth pleasing amber to millions of macro-brewery mouth-slaves.

The 11PM Somewhere wants YOU to know the craft beer revolution in Ireland is underway & wants to let the world know the Irish have arrived to the craft beer party with aplomb, in a multi-toned amber brogue of deliciousness, armed with hoptastic weapons of mass distraction, unafraid to get complex with layers of malt-steeped sorcery, all-the-while holding a healthy disregard for the commercial macro beer pushers, wrapped in that uniquely Irish, dark humour laden sense of 'f**k you' rebellion against the establishment.

The 11PM Somewhere Podcast was born from the Irish Craft Beer revolution. Since the launch in December 2013, the show has expanded. Not just a podcast about the Irish Craft Beer revolution, it has started two podcast series within the stream;
  • Craft Brewers Of Ireland
  • Meet the online Irish Craft Beer community
The 'Craft brewers of Ireland' series, is where I travel to meet Irish Craft Brewers, & let them tell the story of their brewery & their beers, & introduce the people, the passion & the influences that drive our burgeoning revolution.

The 'Meet the online Irish Craft Beer community' series allows you to get to know the many bloggers, online advocates, & reviewers of Irish Craft Beer.

It has also spawned its first video series, 'Irish Craft Beer in Food' on YouTube, where the show highlights how you can incorporate Irish Craft Beers into foods in ways many have never tried or thought about. And it has spawned two other video strands to top it off:

  • YouTube Irish Craft Beer Reviews
  • Bastard Dogs - The Web Series
A n occasional written blog called BMF (Beer Music Food) has also been added to show MY commitment to bring as much diverse content & content styles to the Irish Craft Beer revolution.

The blog, videos & the podcast are a labour of love, & I f**king love our craft beers, & the possibilities drinkers of beer in Ireland will have in the coming future as more cast off the shackles of their tastebuds to discover the wonders pouring forth from Irish craft brew kettles.

The support received from Patrons will be used primarily for four things:

  • hosting/internet
  • podcast show & video production costs
  • travel costs for interviews/events/websiodes
  • on-going continuous improvements to the podcast & video production quality

While the cost of internet & podcast hosting is by no means enormous (approximately 20EUR/month total for hosting and 40EUR for internet) having your support will help me cover those costs and support putting additional valuable content out.

Say you're like 'F**k it Ian, I'm on hard times dude! I really can't spare nada amigo!' The 11PM Somewhere Podcast will keep on churning out content regardless of how much support is given via Patreon. Am I whoring for money for the show? Hell no, but let's face it - while I love doing this, doing this shit costs money. As the show's listenership grows, costs go up to do this & keep growing content. It has to support & pay for itself. That's the reality of these things in the abscence of not taking drinks industry money, so the show, the content & the site can remain banner & interstitial ad-free, & more importantly - independent.

Thank you for your support!
