2nd Street Hooligans is a southern California Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. We have applied for our 501(c)(3) non-profit status and are awaiting approval. We started our rescue in May 2016 and have rescued, adopted, and fostered all types of animals.

2nd Street Hooligans Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is Home to animals who have been abandoned, neglected, abused, and/or released from animal testing facilities. Our mission is to educate the public about the realities of factory farming and animal agriculture and advocate for the rights, safety, and humane treatment of all animals by living a cruelty free lifestyle.

Rachael and Nick O’Neill are the Directors and founders of 2nd Street Hooligans. While living in Long Beach, CA they had two dogs and 6 chickens in a location that was nowhere near a farm community. As they spent more time going to animal rescues and following various accounts on Instagram, they decided that this would be a future goal for them. To their surprise this goal would begin a lot sooner than expected. They came across a perfect home an hour away in a Norco, CA which is a small town known for being a horse and farm community. In a short amount of time they sold their home in the city to move inland to a small farm.

They knew they wanted to adopt a few animals but they had no idea the size and speed things would grow. In the short life of 2nd Street hooligans so far there has been over 30 residents. Additionally, there has been multiple rescues, fosters, and transports of other animals in need. Rachael and Nick have been able to fund 2nd Street Hooligans rescue along with the few donors and sponsors they have which has led to the growth of the rescue. However, it has now reached a point financially beyond its owners and few sponsors.

Running an animal rescue and sanctuary can be very expensive. The feed, vet bills, maintenance, equipment, property, transport, and other various animal care adds up quickly. With monthly donors we will have a more steady operation that will allow us to expand our education to the public and in the future take on more rescues. With your help we can save animals in more possible ways than just rescues.

Thank you for your support!

Love,

The 2nd Street Hooligans
