Welcome to my Patreon page!
I’m an ADHD parent (with a long list of ADHD traits myself!) and I’ve navigated my way through all aspects of raising a child, teen & now young adult daughter with ADHD (& much more), into a healthy, beautiful adult human. As she is now a young adult with ADHD, our journey continues to evolve.
I created a local support group in Sydney, Australia offering support and education to parents of children with ADHD, after my daughter's diagnosis. Since 2013, when I founded the group, my passion has been supporting others on the same journey, using the benefit of the knowledge I’ve picked up along the way.
I've organised an expert ADHD speaker evening nearly every month since. Now, with the aim of reaching and serving as many ADHD families as possible, wherever they may be, I've started this Patreon page for all those who can't attend the speaker evenings in person due to geography, work or other commitments. Alternatively, if you can make it to the live talks you might still enjoy access to the videos to watch as many times as you like, or to share with family members as well as receiving FREE entry to the live talks.
Empower yourself with knowledge! Learn from the most experienced and innovative professionals. From psychological and behavioural therapies & practical strategies to holistic modalities, biomedical or natural therapies - we’ve got you covered.
So, whether you’re a parent/carer of a child or teenager with ADHD, a teenager or adult with ADHD, a teacher, professional who works in the ADHD field or you just have a general interest in ADHD-related topics - there's something for everyone.
ADHD Support Australia is open-minded, non-judgmental and forward thinking – whatever path you choose to navigate, we’re here to support you. We believe in providing information on all approaches and allowing individuals to make up their own minds accordingly.
We believe with strong, healthy foundations in place, any strategies for managing ADHD will be much more successful. Optimising brain function by enhancing overall well-being and exploring any factors that could be causing challenging behaviours, mood problems, focus & attention just makes sense.
ADHD Support Australia receives no funding and is completely self-sufficient with the main source of income being tickets for speaker evenings. Running it is more than a full-time job (which I don't get paid for) and there are many expenses involved.
If you'd like to know more about ADHD Support Australia, its upcoming speaker events, the online Parenting Children with ADHD course, the PEERS Social Skills for Teens course, to view the expert blog or directory please head over to www.adhdsupportaustralia.com.au.
