Thanks for reading.

I write positive, realistic stories because I believe our actual normal lives are worth celebrating . . . instead of whatever else.

If you find what I do valuable, small donations here through Patreon go toward my long-term strategy: building communication, time, reach . . . and then everything shifts (see goal #6).

CONTENT STRATEGY

As promised, here’s an easy strategy for content and social media any aspiring thought leader can use.

First, Divide Whatever You’re Doing into 3 ASPECTS:

1. Your big goal. This is your end-result product, long-term project, big-ticket item, book, course, etc.—the fulfilment of your original dream or vision.

2. A content form that (a) matches your natural skills and talents, and (b) those interested in your big-ticket item are likely to engage with.

Are you a writer? Does your potential tribe like to read? Then your content form could be a blog.

Are you entertaining to watch? Do those who buy things like your end-result creation watch videos? Then your content form could be YouTube videos.

Do you like to talk but have no interest in being on camera? Is your ultimate dream to have a world-changing audio course? Then your content form could be a podcast.

3. Take the content you produce (blog, videos, podcast, etc.) and pull out individual bite-sized portions that can stand alone to provide value, or that can tease the value of your content form. This could be quotes from your blog, snippets of your videos, or teasers for your podcast.

The Strategy—3 STEPS for Your 3 ASPECTS:

1. Consistently share your bite-sized portions or teasers on Instagram. Use 20-30 hashtags for every post.

NOTE: Most want to head straight to Facebook with their content portions or teasers; but Facebook requires $ to get your posts in front of eyes. That’s why Instagram is the best first step.

Instagram isn’t just for pictures or videos. I share quotes from my writing (just black text on white), and have quickly connected with so many amazing people that way.

Some of your Instagram followers will click through to consume your content form.

2. Spend whatever marketing budget you have on posting and boosting only each full blog post, video, podcast episode, etc. to your Facebook Page—NOT the bite-sized portions.

Your content form will begin to build a following and drive people to your big-ticket item(s). This is when you’ll start making $.

3. Now use that extra $ to boost all your bite-sized content portions or teasers on Facebook . . . y’know, the ones Instagram allowed you to first market with for free.

That’s it. Keep consistently producing those 3 aspects—your big-ticket items, your content form, and your content portions or teasers. You’ll get better and better at it; and the value you seek to build will spread perpetually to all who can benefit from it.

Each week, I’ll share unreleased sections of stories and other content I'm working on. I’d love your feedback and advice. I base most of my non-story writing off of questions, so feel free to bring up anything.

Want physical memorabilia related to your favorite stories? Your name could feature somewhere. How can I help you chase your dreams (we must at least appreciate each other's values). Maybe we could work on something together.

Equipment and communication. This goal will be for marketing, equipment, MailChimp, and website.

I'll use Facebook only to boost full articles, targeting those who might enjoy my work.

Easy communication will enable growth to reach the next goal...
