About

Hello, Patreon! My name is Amaranthe, and I am creating three projects: informational videos on asexuality, comedy--er, well, I hope I'm funny--videos on my special interest in heavy music, and a blog about ableism.

Deviants in Resko (novelette series):
This series follows Captain Haewon Choi and her unit of sex crimes detectives as they struggle to wring justice out of a broken, rotten system. Eventually, the main players in the series leave or are forced to leave the force and pursue justice for victims of sexual violence in other ways.

That Weird Ace Woman (asexuality series):
When I was eighteen, I found out that the word for my sexual identity was not broken. The word was asexual, and I was not alone. I never want anyone else to go through what I did, thinking there was something horrifically wrong with me and constantly being told that I would change one day when I knew perfectly well that wouldn't happen, so I'm trying to spread information about asexuality. Hopefully my videos entertain as well as educate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc5rVGsU_D4

Rock, Roll, 'n' Stim (music series):
I always knew there was something unusual about how I interacted with the world. When I was about thirteen, I started to suspect that that unusual thing might be Asperger's. Ten years later, i was finally diagnosed Autistic. One of my longest-running Autistic special interests is rock, metal, punk, and other music with crunching guitars and fast tempos, so I'm making a video series on that. I also like to talk about being Autistic while I'm at it. https://youtu.be/uc5rVGsU_D4

This Is for You, Carrie (blog):
Started the day after Carrie Fisher (may her memory be a blessing) passed away in her honor and written under the pseudonym Mara Lee, this blog is aimed at discussing ableism--oppression of Disabled people--and how to combat it in everyday life. I mostly talk about mental illness and being Autistic on that blog, though, seeing as I'm physically abled(ish). thisisforyoucarrie.blog
