About Aaminah Shakur
Goals
6% complete
My goal is survival. As a chronically ill, disabled artist who is impacted by having had covid, that might sound like I'm not dreaming big enough, but right now that is asking a lot. This goal covers my rent and most basic monthly bills - more would allow a little breathing room, the ability to pay down credit card bills faster, not having to panic when I get too sick to work or when my emotional support dog has an emergency, or when something else unexpected happens. The following gives an idea of far pledges go or how they add up.
$7 - provides a week of my typical morning breakfast of Greek yogurt
$20 - pays for me to get to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions and get home
$30 - covers a year of my non-prescription allergy medication
$70 - pays my monthly phone bill
$200 - addresses my monthly Amazon credit card bill, which is part of how I eat, rebuild my credit, & was how I was able to get the books I needed while I was in school. I am trying to pay it down.
$500 - this is my current rent & utilities payment
