Hello! My name is Alessandro, from Sardinia (Italy), maybe you know me for my channel "Sardinian Warrior". Here a quick link to my channel's presentation. https://youtu.be/9ydLQZd075s

About me
I'm a book author, archaeologist and historical fencer.
Since I started practising re-enactment and historical fencing ten years ago, I always felt the needing of writing what I was learning during the practice. I did so, putting my thoughts into notes, mainly with the aim of understanding how people fought in the medieval and classical time, as a key to understand how fought the bronze age Sardinians.
In the years I have accumulated a considerable amount of reproductions of ancient objects (mostly weapons and armour), also a fair amount of books and knowledge (theoretical and empirical) on the subject. This ranging from Martial Arts (historical fencing and archery), the knowledge of weapons and ancient armour (mostly western) to the practice of experimental archaeology and anthropology. The notes I have written in all these years, in the end, were transformed into a degree thesis, entitled "From Combat to injury" defined by my archaeologist rapporteur, "a pioneering work", also I've published various articles and book about it, called "Gherreris" (Warriors, in Sardinian language). This book is about ancient bronze age Sardinian Warriors, called by the scholars "Nuragic", and possibly known in the chronicles as "Sherden", the utmost famous pharao's royal guards.

To realize all this I have spent a huge amount of money. I bought for my thesis several weapons (like the amazing bronze swords of famous swordmaker Neil Burridge) and raw materials for the armor testing, instruments (like microscopes), and various materials, as ballistic gels, tatami omote and so forth; however, I would have liked to had more instruments for a better and accurate final product. Despite the huge amount of time and money that I've paid, I did not get much from my work, in fact, rather than monetize it, I decided to make it accessible to all the Italian readers, for free.

What I ask you, and what I offer
What I ask to my possible ENG speaking patrons, based on the work already done and made available, is to fund my research activities: such as experimentation on the archaeology of combat and the Bronze Age battles in Europe, anthropology and forensic and the effects of the weapons on the human body, besides various activities of experimental archeology.

All received funds will be directed to do the professional translation of the already published degree thesis, articles and books. Any found that will be raised up, will be exclusively used for the acquisition of new instruments, equipment, and materials to make a more in-depth research. The final results (possibly published or printed with self-publishing) will be available only as Patreon-only contents, like in a fundraising project, but with the possibility of continuously keep my supporters informed about the research, continuously giving them new material, providing information, advice and suggestions in both ways.
Furthermore, as a reward to my patrons for the efforts, I will produce regular video and/or other media about the related topics listed above.
I thank you now for your commitment and I'll warmly shake your hands.
Cheers.
