I'm Andre Harden, writer of the film Numb and author of The Cuckoo House and Curse of the Mummy (hear it on Psuedopod). I write genre fiction for the page, stage and screen, direct professional theatre, run writing and creativity workshops, philosophize on contentment and progress, and recommend books, films, shows and games I've enjoyed or found interesting.

I'm currently writing a horror series and a fantasy series. The horror works are mainly short novels and novellas each exploring the nature of a different type of monster. The Cuckoo House is a ghost story. The Curse of the Mummy is about . . . you know. The upcoming On Being Consumed is about Zombies. Other stories touch on the essence of vampires, werewolves, and eldritch mystery and the particular dark aspects of humanity that they magnify. They also make great screen stories.

The fantasy series are longer novels, my take on the epic struggle between heroism and self-interest in an adventurous, fantastic setting. These are a real labor of love.

It's very hard to make a living wage by selling books and screenplay options. I need to rely on people who truly value what I'm doing, be they producers, publishers, or readers. Patreon lets me connect directly with people who want to support me while offering me a blogging platform to share my thoughts and interests and to foster an online support community.
