About Andrew Patterson

Now more than ever, we've seen the devastating affects that not working together creates.

I'm on a journey to embody the ancient African wisdom of 'Ubuntu' - an understanding that we are who we are because of everyone around us. It's the spirit of humanity towards one another. It's perfectly illustrated by a proverb that says 'if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together'.

This journey saw me become the first person to climb Table Mountain in Cape Town South Africa - every, single, day - for an entire year! Ubuntu was my guiding principle and as such I used it as a platform to raise money and awareness for housing, literacy and health. I chose a route that enabled people of all fitness levels that invested in the project to join. While some of these 191 days being joined took double, triple or even 8 times longer - I learned some of my most valuable lessons from them. One of which, learning perspective meant seeing their effort with their experiences and fitness levels - and not my own. I felt the power of being supported by people that had never ever dreamed of climbing a mountain before.

I now use that understanding of how I learned about myself and was forced to embrace the journey in my book I'm writing (A Mountain to Climb) in my talks I give, and in My 'Intentional Living' workshop I host that equips people with the tools to discover their best life daily.
