I am a freelance writer and independent journalist dedicated to covering topics related to free expression in a non-partisan way. Your support will allow me to take on more unpaid projects, like writing for non-paying sites, or documenting larger protests and events through video.

I used to be an editor for the student paper at Portland State but was fired last year after I tweeted out video from a public interfaith event on campus where a Muslim speaker detailed the punishment for disbelief in an Islamic state. Since then, I have been a freelance writer focusing on open inquiry and free speech issues. I’ve been published in the Wall Street Journal, Quillette Magazine, National Review, INTO Magazine, Women in the World, American Spectator, and many other places.
Goals
$294 of $500 per month
If I reach $500 per month, I can factor in long-distance travel (flights) to diversify my content creation.
