Hello.

If you're here, you probably know about my game Cursed, which is an adult life-simulator with fantastic elements. It's a game that's been in development off-and-on for almost 5 years, using the RAGS text adventure game engine.

You can play Cursed right now! Check out my blog for the latest updates on the game and the most recent version. You will need the RAGS Suite, which can be downloaded for free here (use version 2.4.16).

This game isn't like other adult games, or at least, I don't want it to be. It's not about sex, adult situations or fetishes. This is a game about daily life. About stepping into some high heels when you've never worn them before. There's certainly adult situations and sex, but it's not the focus, just another aspect of the life that you're leading.

The overarching plot of the game requires you to deal with a powerful woman who either wants to make your life hell, or use you to make her life better. The interactions with this woman drive the game, as although you might want to mind your own business, she won't let you. On top of that, you have to deal with a your job, meeting new people, your previous life, and exactly how you're going to make your rent payment this month. Maybe you'll find love, maybe you'll end up on the street, maybe you'll clock some time in jail. Good choices, bad choices, saint, sinner, millionaire or paycheck-to-paycheck. It's up to you.

Transformation themes abound in the game, with the ability to change your body first and foremost. But you'll also be able to change people you meet. And actions have consequences, so don't be surprised if that one-night stand turns into something more.

The game is free to download from my blog, and will always be so: I don't believe in trapping content behind a paywall of any sort.

So why Patreon?
The game has been in development, as I said, for almost five years, but as it has never really been a major money-maker, it constantly takes a backseat to other projects and responsibilities, such as my job. There's no funding for this project: I'm a one-man development team, and I'm making this whether it's paid for or not. Some fans has expressed a desire to support development, and everyone likes getting paid for their time and effort, so...Patreon.

Again, I would like to note that regardless of any contributions or payments received, I will still be working on completing this game.

I like to believe that people will support a creator that makes something they love, if they can. If you choose to support my efforts to make this and other games, then I thank you sincerely. With the game already half completed as of this writing, there is not much that can be offered in terms of individual rewards, as new content is constantly in development as it is, and there is a lot of planned content. Rewards may materialize later (in which case I will make them retroactive), but at this time, I don't have much to offer other than my thanks.

If you have any questions about Patreon or the game itself, please contact me through one of the various options listed on my blog. You can also post in the game's semi-official forum. I do enjoy talking about the game and the engine that it is built on, and knowing that people enjoy it is a very special reward.

Get entered into a lottery to work with Anonymous Man to design a custom random encounter. The goal is to include 100 random encounters in the game, ranging from the mundane to the fantastic. At the end of the month, 5 people will be drawn at random and contacted to design the encounter. If there are less than 5 people at this reward tier, all contributors will win.

Note that Anonymous Man reserves editorial control over the encounter, though submissions that don't quite match will be worked through instead of outright rejected. Also, note that you can only design one encounter: if you've been selected previously, you will not be eligible to win the lottery draw again.

Get entered into a lottery to work with Anonymous Man to design a major event or NPC. These can have long term consequences on the game, as opposed to random encounters, which are more limited in scope. At the end of the month, 1 person will be drawn at random and contact to design the event or NPC.

Note that Anonymous Man reserves editorial control over the encounter, though submissions that don't quite match will be worked through instead of outright rejected. Also, note that you can only win once: if you've been selected previously, you will not be eligible to win the lottery draw again.
Goals
$212 of $1,000 per Per Major Update (bug fixes not included)
I've always said that I wouldn't add pictures to the game because it would massively increase the size of the file. But that doesn't really seem to matter too much. So, if we reach this monthly goal, I will work with an artist (to be determined) to get custom art into the game for most things, such as the player's appearance, NPCs, and more.
