The Mission of Anthology

Anthology is a 501(c)(3) Literary Nonprofit dedicated to promoting poetry and associated literary arts in the greater Phoenix community by providing opportunities for artists to perform their work and by making the literary arts accessible to a diverse audience.


A Brief History of Anthology

Tracing it's origins back to 1990 with the creation of the literary magazine Anthology as well as the Essenzaslam Poetry Slam in 1994. Anthology has grown and evolved through the ensuing decades creating events, projects and programs that ensure a legacy of literary arts appreciation well beyond the geographic borders of Arizona.

Anthology is committed to ensuring the premise that future generations will embrace literary appreciation, and that the literary arts are accessible to everyone, everywhere.
