I turn random flotsam off the internet into words. Hopefully, they're entertaining words. Generally, they're at least thoughtful words. I want to make some of these words into more tangible products, like traditional books, interactive game/puzzle books, mixed-media art projects, clothing designs, and performance pieces. As I start this, I don't have the funding to manufacture anything physical. Some weeks, I'm kind of iffy about whether I have the funding to eat. And I have to keep taking breaks from writing to chase other paying work, which may or may not be anywhere near as enjoyable for either of us.

With your help, I can change this, and start producing awesome things that you can buy, collect, watch, read, trade -- whatever you like.

Patreon funding will go first and foremost towards my basic living expenses, because it's really difficult to produce thoughtful comedy and epic tales of adventure while you're starving.  After that, it will go towards maintaining a basic web presence for my writing, electronic art forms, and records of any performances, as well as a place to buy any projects that I opt to sell. After that, I start buying random art supplies and checking on things like printing costs, to see what truly awesome things I can do.

You get an extra tidbit of writing once a week, and the personal satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting the creation of original (usually highly nerdy) content online, and performances at a local independent theater. Brag to your friends!

You are feeding my critters. I will ceremonially inscribe your name on a piece of produce before giving it to my adorable pets to eviscerate. You do not properly appreciate the phrase 'going bananas' until you have seen a small swarm of domesticated rats frantically trying to break into a Cavendish.

You are contributing to the budget that buys art supplies and costuming. I will send you an autographed photo -- me or the rats, whichever -- or an original sketch. Subjects will be more than a little random, and the image may or may not come with any kind of comprehensible, or even convincing, explanation.

You are officially paying me to not do another few hours of boring work, in favor of cooking up something intellectual, interesting, and probably somewhat weird. I will send you a small mysterious thing in the mail. Nothing that'll get you arrested, mind; just something strange and noteworthy. It may or may not be in English. I have no problem sending stuff airmail, but please recall that I live in the US, which has difficulty remembering other countries exist sometimes, and transit can take a while.

You are one of my new favorite people. You will receive the autographed image AND a small mysterious thing in the mail, AND you will also be eligible to receive sneak-peeks and advance releases of the longer projects I will have enough time and energy to write when I'm not worried about starving all the time.
Goals
$145 of $500 per month
$500 per month pays my rent. (Yes, really. I share a small apartment with other people.) Not having to worry about putting in enough hours of copy-editing someone else's writing leaves me a lot more time to work on my own. Also, fear of homelessness is the enemy of concentration.
