I will always make and post plenty of free art for the world and internet- as well as live performances (which I will share with patrons whenever possible), merchandise, and fine art for purchase - Here I hope to build something different and allow those who appreciate my work the ability to directly influence and be part of its development.
Eventually this tier will be replaced by scaled system lower and higher, but you early apple biters who enabled me to launch this dream will always hold a special place in my heart and will be recognized for your support when the time does come.
The world is morphing so fast, the enlightenment seems Jurassic. We are bombarded with so much information and demanded upon to act with intermediacy or dope ourselves with opiates- extracted, synthesized, or metaphorical. In this world of gifs, I hope to resisting the loop to favor the spiral.
Rooted in free drawing and stream of conscious art techniques, with heavy use of collage and colorful expression the Art of Dirt is challenging while remaining playful. The themes of Dirt are those of the earth, our changing times, and the complex play of perceptions that shape our reality.
I will work in any medium - and if they can be mixed they most likely will. I mix the premade with the spontaneous and let it ferment in hopes of pointing to a truth, or asking interesting questions at least. I'm not sure what my style is- I am not trained in any school- and I've never been baptised.
I could call it metamodern surrealist acid communism, or post internet psycho/socialist (un)realism, or late capitalist hyper expressionism, or a number of phrases(including just 'art'). Sometimes I call it Church of the Bitten Apple. The Creative act is at the heart of the human experience and necessary for the soul. I use my art to engage with the changing reality through philosophy, technology, memetics, history, and culture- high and pop. Art is my Liturgy in the search for truth trying to discover what kind of compromises we are prepared to make with the future, each other, and the universe.
You Should Expect me to share Drawings, Paintings, Collage Work, Multi Media Mashups, Animations, Poetry, Music, Live Painting, and reflections on everything mentioned above. I will also be launching an interview based podcast in the next couple months.
