Everyone has several so-called life changing moments over the course of a lifetime. Some of them are easy to recognize; graduations, marriage, children, divorce, or the loss of a loved one.  Others are a bit harder to anticipate. For me, hitting my 50's became one of those moments.  As much as I loved who I had become and what I had accomplished, I had a unshakeable feeling that there was something else I was supposed to accomplish. As a life-long crafter and creator, I knew there was one thing I had started in my youth that I never followed through on.  Creating art.

Creating made me happy and as a teen I loved drawing, but had abandoned it when the art classes I was taking took a back seat to dating and work. A little voice told me it was time to re-kindle my love affair with creating art. Of course right on the heels of that little voice was another that whispered, "...but you're too old to learn now."

Luckily my rebellious nature kicked in and I decided to learn anyway. I not only re-kindled my romance with creating art, I fell head over heels in love with mixed media. It opened up all of the wonderful art supplies and techniques while speaking to my free spirit.  It has become my refuge from stress and worry, as well as my passion.

I love sharing that passion and encouraging others to follow their dreams, no matter what your age is, via my blog and my videos, but the Artful Geek Girl is only my alter-ego (for now!). I'd love to be able to truly connect with more of you, to share more DIY's, Step by Steps, and follow along videos. I also dream of creating lessons, classes and courses for all of you. But in order to do so, I need to be able to spend more time as the Artful Geek Girl and less time as an online tech consultant.

The cool thing is, there is a place like Patreon that lets us work together toward that goal!  You can support my art with a small monthly donation and in return you'll receive certain 'Patron Only Perks' that won't be found anywhere else. These are things that will only be available to my Patrons and won't be offered anywhere else.

Whether you choose to become a Patron or not, thank you for checking out my page and considering the benefits of joining me on my art journey.  Above all, don't let any little voices tell you that you can't follow your dream.

Goals
0% complete
Reaching this monthly goal will allow me to completely devote my time to The Artful Geek Girl, my art and my patrons.
Upon reaching this goal, patrons will be presented with yet another opportunity to choose a topic for an instructional video series as well as first access to any future instructional classes at a discounted price.
