Hi! We're Ruben (he/they) & Cassandra (she/her) but you might know us as Queer Xicano Chisme and Xicanisma. We're two bitter brown bitches that started a podcast called Bitter Brown Femmes (on Soundcloud, iTunes, and Audioboom) as a way to stay connected and to make social justice discourse more accessible. Recording, editing, and promoting this podcast takes a lot of time and labor and basic upkeep (such as site hosting and transcribing episodes) takes actual money; so we decided to start this patreon to have a space for our listeners who want to and can support us, to do so.

"What is Patreon"?
Patreon is a website that helps you support your favorite creators by giving you the option to make monthly donations. They can be as little as $1 a month!! You can cancel your subscription at ANY time.

"What do I get out of supporting y'all?"
A lot actually! Depending on your commitment, there's different rewards but some dope ones are things like: access to exclusive longer episodes, livestreams, thank you notes, and direct input on our content!

"I can't afford to help y'all?"
AND THAT'S SUPER COOL. We don't expect ALL of our listeners to donate but we just wanted to provide a way for folks who have expressed desire to compensate us for our labor, to do so. Also, we never want folks to feel like they're making a sacrifice by supporting our work; we just want your chunk change if you have any to spare!
