The Black Out Loud Conference, an extension of the Black Out Loud book by poet/writer/Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellow, Donney Rose, is a three-day conference dedicated to celebrating Black visibility and narrative. The inaugural Black Out Loud Conference took place August 10-12, 2018 in Baton Rouge, La and focused on the arts, media and activism.

Black Out Loud Conference LLC is community organization dedicated to bringing cultural, African American-centered programs and events to Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. In addition to the annual Black Out Loud Conference, we intend to host a series of dialogues, one day symposiums and other initiatives with a focus of centering the Black narrative on a variety of sociopolitical issues.
