One of my hobbies is beekeeping, And with all the local wildfires we have been hit with, destroying thousands of acres of mountain wild lands. Thus destroying foliage, evacuating wildlife and of course evicting any colonies of wild honey bees. So I decided to startup a nonprofit project to help restore foliage to the fire damaged areas "Project WildFire Recovery". I seek homeowners near the target locations with large lots and an area that they dont do anything with and with their approval, setup a single hive of honey bees. I do NOT rent/lease/sell to the homeowner. There will be no charge to the homeowner during the agreed upon term cycle. during harvestings I will donate 10% to the homeowner then donate another 10% to local food banks. The rest will be sold of to help keep the project rolling.
It take a year to raise a community of bees till they are approved 'ready' for their final home. I have been trying to fund this whole project from my own pocket with my full time seasonal job, but fall has arrived and i have not reached my host requests of 5 hives. I have 3 near complete hives built but still need to build 2 more @ 493.00usd each plus my food stores for them in the winter isnt as stocked as it needs to be.
I need help trying to reach a goal of at least 1500.00 to order the required parts to build the last 2 hives plus stock up the sugar feed.
