What We're About

Our primary goal is to provide a safe and loving place for farm animals that are in need of a home, that would otherwise be deemed un-adoptable or a lost cause. Also while educating the public about alternative lifestyle choices and giving 4H'ers an alternative outcome for their raised pets.

Animals have so much love to give, you just have to spend the time with them to earn it.

We are currently in Napa, California on an acre.
Hoping to expand as funds allow and working on becoming a 501(c)(3).

We have finally expanded to chicken care, hoping to go on to ducks and pygmy goats in the next coming months or year. Following rescue and adoption processes as things progress. :)

How We Became

Bleating Hearts Farm was founded in 2018, in honor of Sassy and Cupcake.

Sassy and Cupcake were abandoned in our neighborhood.
No one claimed them, so we adopted them. Little did we know just how much we would fall in love with goats!

After our first year together, Cupcake was not doing very well.
Two trips to UC Davis, two donated rumen fluids, slew of vitamin shots later, we discovered Cupcake had Lymphoma and a failing liver with maybe weeks to live. Absolutely crushed we gave her medications round the clock, cleaned her, and loved on her. Anything to make sure she was comfortable.

We lost Cupcake on November 28th 2018. That day we swore to do anything and everything in our power to do right by her, by helping other goats just like her.
