About

How did I end up here?

My story begins in 1975, when I was dropped into this world. My eyesight has been shot to hell thanks to a birth defect and my childhood was a rather lonely one. The other kids had no idea how to deal with the weird blind kid, so I could choose between ridicule or bullying. I chose to stay indoors and spend my time going through my father's vast collection of books. I read voraciously, from old pulp stories by the likes of Robert E. Howard to Sci-Fi by Isaac Asimov or Fantasy as penned by Michael Moorcock.

In 1989 my parents decided that I should visit a boarding school for blind and visually impaired kids. At the time, I was shocked and confused - why would they send me away? But in hindsight, it was the best thing they could do for me. I became much more independent and finally, freed from the curse of being the only visually impaired kid around, I made friends. Girlfriends even. I wrote my first fantasy story for a girl I was dating at the time and it was a smashing success. At the same time, I found the joys of Pen & Paper roleplaying games, which would become another inspiration for my writing. When I became older, my reading habits started to include raunchier themes and my writing transformed to include hot sex scenes as well. In 2012, after a lengthy e-mail conversation, an author friend of mine pointed me to Literotica, saying that my stuff is more than good enough for a wider audience.

Fast forward to today. During the past six years, I have written and published 41 works on Literotica, with my latest, "Mud & Magic", turning out to be an unmitigated success. During the past few months, I've heard several of my readers ask "Why don't you start a Patreon, we want to show our appreciation."

So here I am.

If you'd like to find out what my dirty mind has coughed up so far, here is the link to my Literotica submission page and here to my new, flashy StoriesOnline repository. Until enough Patrons chip in to create the lush e-book versions of these stories, these are the proud homes of my writing on the 'Net. Should you see my stuff anywhere else without my name attached, please let me know.

My stories tend to feature unusual main characters. Not the infailable hero type, rather people with particular talents and disabilities. In my fantasy universe, people like Gheeran have to deal not only with external problems but their own demons and shortcomings as well - and blindness is quite a problem for a career assassin. Shilana, the mage, has made some questionable choices in the pursuit of revenge and her hatred of Dark Elves often got the better of her. Rembrandt, in my sci-fi universe, has the exceptional gift of being able to alter technological items by touching them. But as a convicted criminal, he has his own issues to work around. And the list goes on.

I don't have a deeper message in my stories (yet). They are meant as entertainment first and foremost. Action, adventure, heroics in strange locations and involving interesting people. And when it comes to sex, I don't close the bedroom door. Instead, I let the reader watch the action unfold. After all, we're all adults here and what's a bit of naked flesh between friends, eh?

If you feel entertained and had a good time, I've done my job. Please enjoy yourselves.

Your generous contribution will go toward commissioning cover artworks for my books. While many self-publishing authors can stitch together halfway decent covers from stock pictures, my bad eyesight precludes me from using graphics programs with any kind of proficiency. At the least, I would need a halfway gifted person to wield GIMP or Photoshop for me to work with the stock pics I buy.

The best-case scenario would of course be an artist putting custom artwork together to fit the book's content, but commissions get real expensive, real fast and I simply don't have that kind of money to throw around.
