I'm Dave. I've been Bloodnose on the Internet for a really long time, but only in the last year have I really gotten into regularly producing art for my Internet friends. My flagship product is the film-and-television based anime reviews (with jokes and Yiddish words) I've been doing on YouTube since the beginning of 2018. But recently I have also gotten into translating, editing and typesetting mangas, doujinshi and fan art.

So why the Patreon? Honestly, I don't need money. I've had a great career that has left me financially comfortable and monetizing has never been a motivation for the art I produce. Contributions here will increase the budget I have to put into my content. For my translations, I'd like to have a proper sheet feed scanner. For my videos, I always need more art drawn, but I also look forward to commissioning my own music, intro and outro animations, just taking everything to the next level, at a cost beyond what I can afford from my own disposable income.

That said, I'm not going to hold any content hostage. I'm not going to give patrons early access to anything or anything like that. This is all about if you like what I do and want to contribute to making it even better. I'll still be working on videos and translations every day, whether you pitch in a buck or not.

You've done a real mitzvah contributing to the only Yiddish-American film industry-themed anime show on YouTube, and translations of obscure mangas and doujinshis. Such value!

I'll get my wife a real pretty bouquet every month so next time she complains I spend too much time on anime garbage that doesn't bring in any money I can be like, "but look at the gorgeous flowers the bubbelech bought you!" And I'll post the bouquet on the feed here so you can enjoy it too.
