By Jove are a collaborative theatre company. We believe in disrupting the hierarchies of theatre-making, and creating space for marginalised people.
We tell old stories in new ways. We think about how myths, legends, and tales from the cultural canon – some familiar, some less so – can speak to audiences in the 21st century. We do this because we believe sharing the stories of the past, with their wisdom and worries and wonder, is a vital act of celebrating our shared humanity - something we need more than ever today.
Our work is always collaborative, always an experiment, always evolving. We started making theatre in 2011 and have created seven original shows since then. As we grow and dream up even more ambitious plans for unique theatre-making experiences, we urgently need support to help make those plans a reality. Even the smallest pledge can make all the difference in our mission to continue bringing stories to life for our audiences.
