Hi! I'm Caelyn and I'm a fat, mentally ill trans lesbian living in the UK. I'm also a massive nerd. I love playing videogames, board games and tabletop RPGs. I read comics, watch anime, collect Transformers and build Gunpla. I've recently started taking photos of my toys to share with the world.

I also write about all these things. Not just the nerd stuff, but what it means to be a fan of those things as a fat, disabled, queer person. I occasionally dabble in a bit of UK politics, especially when it intersects with my interests. I have bylines at Rock, Paper, Shotgun and I Need Diverse Games. I dispense wit (alleged) and wisdom (dubious) on Twitter and Mastodon, and post photos of Transformers, Gunpla, and occasionally my dinner, on Instagram.

I love writing. I love sharing my passion with other people. It's also highly therapeutic and uplifting. I struggle with depression and anxiety on a daily basis and few things put a smile on my face like finishing an article and seeing people enjoy it.

My partner is now in full-time work, albeit at minimum wage, so I no longer receive any benefits. While it is nice to no longer be reliant on the unfit-for-purpose UK welfare system, we're still a couple living on a single income. I'm available and actively searching for freelance opportunities, but an income from Patreon allows me to devote time to writing what I want to write, and you want to read!

To finish, I'm going to thank all the family and friends, both old and new, who have supported me through some rough times. It's taken a lot for me to get this far and I wouldn't have done it with them.

Thank you so much to everyone who has read this far. I understand if you can't afford to help out. Please, still read and enjoy my work, it's still the main reason I do what I do.

Thanks for your support! You don't get any particular benefits, but I will declare you officially Cool.

Rad

Woah, you have transcended mere coolness and are now Rad. For this, you get even more thanks and you can request specific toy/game reviews. I can't promise I can deliver on those requests, but I will absolutely take them into account.

Videogame Review Tier! At this point, I can fund a brand new videogame review every month. Currently I can cover Windows PC, Switch and PS4 games. Won't that be nice?
