Our channel started with nothing but our love of video games. Since then, we've purchased new editing software and recording equipment, improved the quality of our videos, and tried to keep a regular schedule of uploads. We've created 70+ gaming videos on YouTube since 2017, and we hope to turn our passion into our job someday as independent artists with the support of our amazing patrons! Example video:
This Patreon will hopefully provide:
- A way for our fans to show their appreciation and "give back" to our channel (if they feel so inclined!)
- An additional source of motivation that drives us to produce more content for you guys to enjoy
"Do you have a Patreon or PayPal?" is a question we get asked sometimes. Since the start of our channel there's been many people who are eager to support us in some way. However, we've been hesitant to make a Patreon to avoid the extra pressure to produce content. We want to keep the quality high and not rush to make "X" number of videos per month. While we love creating content, and try to make a couple new videos per week, we've often had to postpone working on our channel due to other "real life" commitments.
So why create a Patreon now? We've sort of reached a weird line where our channel is growing in popularity, gaining new subs and thousands of views daily, but we aren't sure if we could ever make YouTube our "real job" (which would be our dream-come-true). Unfortunately, unless you're in the top 1% of channels, YouTube isn't a very stable place to make a living on. The policies and advertiser rules are constantly changing and it really puts a cramp in trying to earn any cash from our hard work. So we're trying Patreon out to see if we can transform this hobby into a financially stable full-time project. If we feel like this Patreon is not having a positive impact on us, our channel or our video creation process, we will close it down.
With all that said, we hope this Patreon will turn out to be a positive experience for all involved! If you have any questions, concerns or feedback regrading this page, please get in touch ([email protected]). Thanks everyone.
