Eric John Kaiser Great post. I agree. When I moved from Paris, France to Portland, OR in 2006, I had to empty my entire apartment. I realized how much stuff I had! It was like a cleanse to get rid of some of that stuff and giving it away. What I need is different from what I want.

Alyshia Eming I think it is concerning that you are talking about depression in a flippant manner, saying that it will just go away. Though this might be your experience. There is a difference between depression and "feeling down". People throw the word depression around and use it incorrectly. If you're going to talk about mental health issues, please consider posting a disclaimer saying you're not a mental health expert or that you are talking from lived experience. This type of talk about "it will just go away" emphasises the unhealthy attitude that many, often sufferers, have about their own expectations to be able to just "snap out of it" - whilst mental health issues rarely go away on their own and people should be encouraged to seek help, from family, friends, counsellors or psychologists. Often mental health issues will worsen without help or support. "Putting a reason behind why you're depressed is dangerous" Depression is a mental illness that has causes, even if it is not apparent to the person at the time. Depression is not something that lasts for a few minutes or an hour. If you are going to make instructional videos, please consider doing more research and having valid sources to back what you are saying. Whilst I understand you are talking from your experience and I respect that, however if you are trying to make a career out of "inspirational and helpful youtube videos" - please consider the impact you have on your audience and the language you use. http://www.beyondblue.org.au/the-facts/depression/types-of-depression

Pulsatilla Pratensis Agree with this. Living moment to moment with the acknowledgement "I am always where I need to be, in time and space" is what has helped me a lot in many difficult situations.
