On September 25th 2015, my world changed for the better. Carter, the lab-mix rescue pup, came into my life and I haven't looked back once.

My boyfriend and I adopted him from the Toronto Humane Society as a 'stray' and have taught him over the last year that he is very loved and will always be loved.

I want to share his story and the stories of the thousands of other animals and pet parents that have gone through so much to find their furever homes. I want to bring light to the fact that there are still so many that need saving.

I am looking for patrons who are willing to pledge only a few dollars a month to support the publishing and advertising of this book of rescues and to help me along the way. If the book does well, I am fully on board with writing a series of books, continuing with this theme.

August 2017 my world changed again. That month began a downward spiral of my health into a 5 month (continuing) battle with an unknown illness that no blood test or scan has named. Slowly I am gaining my health back (I hope!) and have decided to document my recovery from a suspected autoimmune disorder that has gone undiagnosed for 18 years of my life.

I want to take you on this journey with me, sharing our experiencing, successes and failures.

Goals
$0 of $50 per month
I thought for a long time about my first goal.
$50 would allow me to comfortably pay for my new medication and a bag of dog food for Carter each month.
To some it may not seem like a lot, to others, perhaps $50 to spend on two items that allow the pair of us to live and function is a lot. These two items are very important to me and having comfort of mind to know I can feed my four-legged baby and keep my only form of pain management covered, is a mountain of stress of my mind. <3
