Without you, I wouldn't be able to keep writing, so thank you.

Also thank you to my author cat, Whiskers of the Nine Realms (Whiskers for short) who ensures I keep writing and maintains her own webpage for author pets, author pet life, and book and pet product reviews at whiskersreads.com and on Instagram @whiskersoftheninerealms. She is more famous than I am (I am happy to stay in her shadow). Cats really do rule the internet. See my Intro video of Whiskers' endorsing my young adult novel Through Dragon Eyes. Volume will be needed to hear her commentary.

About me

My life is really boring. I used to venture into graveyards late at night, go on road trips across the Canadian prairies, ghost hunt, and read up on quantum physics and science things. Once I turned 6.... just kidding. Now, I venture into graveyards during the light of day, dream of road trips across the Canadian prairies, write about ghost hunting, and read paranormal and urban fantasy (really, I read whatever piques my interest and read widely, but those are my favourites to escape in to). So boring I know. I also rescue street cats, take in strays (human and feline alike), and avoid baking because I don't have the patience for it (I burn everything).

I've been writing professionally for over ten years, but my passion for the creative pen began as a creative crayon scribbling stories in colored wax.

I'm also a professional editor and writing coach, an office manager, a virtual assistant. I have to pay the bills until I can write and edit full time some how, after all. Those strays don't feed themselves, and Whiskers is a feline of particular tastes. Her three brothers are less picky. Yes, I have received my crazy cat lady starter kit. Thank you for checking.

I'm a nerd. I took English in university. I get excited when a new book on grammar rules comes out. I love Star Trek, Supernatural, Charmed (met Shannon Doherty in real life... from a far... at a comic/fan con ... she has no idea who I am), and Bones TV shows. I saw the Backstreet Boys in concert once. I play board games and DND (my Dragonborn character once assisted in the take down of a god while flying around its head singing "I Believe I Can Fly"... it involved a Druid and a lot of singing).

My dreams include poking a platypus (gently), travelling to certain locations in the real world, having a library in my home (who doesn't want this, right?), and getting one of those cool mermaid tails. I would be a fresh water mermaid. I am afraid of the ocean.

What I struggle with : not finding spiders creepy, post-traumatic stress disorder, avoiding Brussels Sprouts, immune disease, and trying to clean up the cat hair.

About my books/writing

My first novel length piece of writing was Angels and Avalon, the first book of the series by the same name. The series is about a nameless girl who is plucked from a dark world and brought to Avalon by Goddess. Goddess gives her a name, Adamina. Angels enter her life and cause all sorts of mayhem, including the fall of Avalon (not your Avalon of Camelot story). Reincarnated, Adamina's life is continuously bombarded with the antics of Angels and Gods, and she struggles with this. Each book is divided into two parts. Part one is a past life of the main character, part 2 is the character's present day life, set in a fictional Canadian prairie city, where all the characters are reincarnated and meet once again. There are 6 novels/novellas and one short story in the main series all planned to be published by 2019-2020, and a mini-series in the same universe setting featuring character Tyrel Hanson, P.I. as he goes on his paranormal hunts/investigations.

Through Dragon Eyes is a Young Adult Fantasy standalone novel which received a five-star review from Reader's Favorite. It's a coming of age story about Zoe who is learning how to be a Dragon Scaler and trying to uncover the truth about her past. There's a brewing war as King Warrick tries to eliminate all the Dragons, driven by the death of his brother. The story features a main cast of Zoe's friends - Soran the elf, her human brother Caden, Lily the blacksmith's finisher, and a merman named Nymen - help her search for the missing Gauntlet of the Realms, the only hope to save the dragons and those who love them. And the most important part of the story is Zoe's brother's Dragon, Crulan, is obsessed with eggplant.
I'm also working on another dark adult fantasy novel, and have a fantasy series planned once Angels and Avalon is complete.

What your contribution will help with

Like all creative spirits, I live to create, but, I also dream of turning my creative calling into a full-time career. I came to Patreon in the hopes of not only earning a living doing what I have been called to do, but to also reach you, dear patron. To connect with you through story, reaching across the divide to settle somewhere together as we explore the human condition together, good and bad. I hope my writing can help you escape, and touch your spirit, and leave you with something more than you began with.

You'll help fund my crazy cat lady obsession, help pay for Whiskers' discernible tastes, ensure that I can keep writing and publishing stories you love, and help other authors too.

The majority of my novel-length work is indie published. This means I pay for it all out of my own pocket. When I don't have the funds to pay for an editor, formatter, or cover artist/designer, I can't get new books out to fans like you. Your contribution will ensure I can keep writing and get stories to you faster.

You can also get some pretty cool perks. Like getting books first, special editions of books, and more.

Thank you so much for everything, you're amazing.
