What are you doing and who are you?
I have been working on the webcomic Addictive Science for a few years now. Addictive Science is about the daily life of a mad scientist, her crew, some people from a parallel dimension, and more.
It involves quite a few explosions.
I am working with purely traditional tools. Pencil sketches are with pencils, inking with indian ink and a brush, shading with diluted inks.
Why should I throw my money at you?
I absolutely adore writing comics, and I hope you will enjoy mine. But while continuing drawing is an obligation for me as I am passionated about drawing, it is the amount of time and work that goes into it that is in question. If I earn money with my art I can do more of it, and not only do one webcomic, but more extra art and possibly other webcomics for you all to read on the internets!
What do I personally get for throwing my money at you?
First of, you get my unconditional love (unless it was just one buck because then pretty much everything vanishes in taxes and fees and then you only have the unconditional love of the people who get these).
Secondly, there will be extra non-canon side-comics where the cast can do stuff that would not be possible in the main series, like time travel or space travel or whatever, and you will be able to read them! Yata!
Thirdly, with more money thrown, you get some sketches and stuff thrown back at you! More on it on the rewards...
