I'm Charles Foster Jolivette, a 35-year-old author and director from San Francisco who has called New Orleans home for seven years. I began my writing explorations early, penning letters to Dr. Maya Angelou at eight and rubbing elbows as an adolescent with Tupac Shakur.

I've had the honor of working with Dick Gregory, J. Cole, Michael Franti and Paul Mooney. My published works include novels Étouffée (2010, The Write Creole) and Le Midnight Roux (2012, The Write Creole) as well as children's book, Bayou Babies Really Cookin' (2014, The Write Creole).

My goal with my patreon page is to generate content fulltime and to hire other talented artist in & around the Southeast (Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi) to collaborate with me to do the same. Times are hard socially and financially. Our page is geared toward developing solutions and advocating uplifting content across all forms of creative media.

A good portion of the content I upload will be free and open to you regardless of if you contribute to the page monetarily. Of course its your choice to contribute if you really love the content.

$1.25 monthly all the way up to $100 grants access to subscriber-only content and unique gifts and rewards.

Thanks for stopping by. Let's enjoy and employ!

Goals
$6 of $400 per month
When we reach this goal, a monthly short film (up to 25 minutes) becomes a reality. That's 12 new, high-quality films a year.

In addition to filming once or twice a week for short bits & skits like Man, What?!,  FETISH, Black Boys Don't Shoot and They Want Your Voodoo, the $400 monthly would free up an additional day to hire a crew.
