About Sam Kimpton-Nye

Condensed Matter is a podcast hosted by me, Dr Sam Kimpton-Nye. I'm a philosopher with interests in metaphysics, philosophy of science, epistemology, logic and metaphilosophy. Each episode focuses on a recently published article in metaphysics and/or the philosophy of science (broadly construed). Most of the time, I will summarize and comment on the article solo, but occasionally I will do “deep dives” where I interview the author.

Think of this as an easy way to get an overview of what is being published in metaphysics and the philosophy of science. I try to make the material as accessible as possible; you shouldn’t need a PhD to understand what’s going on and you certainly don’t need to be an expert in metaphysics or the philosophy of science.

There are costs associated with running the podcast. So, if you find what I am doing valuable, please consider providing some financial support via this page. This will help to pay for hosting, which gives me the option to produce a larger quantity of content, and equipment and software, which will improve the quality of the content.

As a thank you for your support and in recognition of your interest in the podcast, you will have the chance to recommend articles and guests for future episodes.

Thanks for listening.
