About

For the last 4 years I've immersed myself in the building and designing of 3D printers. While doing this I've been actively sharing my designs as open source on outlets like instructables.comGrabCad.com and Thingiverse.com. I'm a true believer in sharing knowledge.

But as you can imagine, this comes with a price. A price I've been paying myself and it's getting harder to keep up. Each printer I design comes with costs ranging from $400 to $3,000 in parts, not counting any of the labor.

On top of that, I try to make it out to as many venues to share the knowledge. Each year at least one Maker Faire, MRRF and ERRF. These travel costs as up as well.

To give you a run down of just the last show I was at (Which was absolutely awesome)

East Coast RepRap Festival:
Printing (bills of material/business cards): $58.86
Hotel Cost: $463.26 (drove home in 15 hours to save one night of hotel)
Fuel: $66.23
Toll: $99.15
Food: $47.58

That is a total of $735.08. Unlike the big youtubers, I don't get sponsored by any of the brand names. This comes out of my pockets.

I will keep up doing what I'm doing, but I could really use some support from you. If you like the work I've been doing and enjoy the designs I've shared. Become my Patron, so I can keep doing the same for you and others.

Any support is greatly appreciated.
