Who is this person?I'm Elmi Raubenheimer, a graphic and web designer who also loves papercrafts and scrapbooking. Most importantly, I am passionate about "story". Your story, my story, epic memoirs, sweep-me-off-my-feet romance novels, Project Life™, year-long projects like One Little Word™, travel journals, those new Cell C ads, a good Hallmark card...
I believe in the power of story. I also believe every single person is valuable, and that we all have a story to tell.
A few years ago I started memory keeping through pocket page scrapbooking (put on the map by Project Life™, and embraced by companies like Simple Stories and Ali Edwards), and found that the format lends itself really well to telling stories.
I've been struggling to tell my story—and I am still not there yet—but recently I discovered some of the things that's holding me back, and I've decided: NO MORE HIDING.
So, this is my line in the sand, and I want you to take this journey with me. Let's tell our stories, one paragraph, one photo, one 3x4" card, one scrapbook page at a time.
Why is she on Patreon?I want to tell my stories and help others do it too: whether you're a scrapbooker, journaler (is that even a word? 😄), writer, artist, or even a stay-at-home mom. I also want to empower people to do it in their own language. Being on Patreon will allow me to put in the time to create things of value and share them with you, and the higher tiered supporters will even be able to customise their products with their own language, empowering even more meaningful ways to tell our stories. I welcome your input as to what I should design next.
How much should I pledge? You decide how much you want to give. You can give as little as $1 (USD) a month. Basically, you choose the support you would like to give me, based on the perks you would like to receive. The more you give, the more I can give back.
Important reminder for South Africans: Patreon charges in US dollars only. If you're South African, a $1 subscription will cost you between R10-R13, depending on the exchange rate.
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
