What is Fractured Worlds?

Fractured Worlds is an RPG with a deep, heavily customized combat system and a host of unique features and systems you won’t find in most other NSFW titles. It’s a kingmaker story centered around Victor Khalder, an unremarkable young man thrust into a very dangerous world-rending situation. You’ll battle everything from mythological creatures to political rivals and possibly even the gods themselves as you attempt to change and save a world on the brink of annihilation.

Can you turn Victor into the leader his world needs to survive? Do you have what it takes to stand up against the world’s most dangerous political and mythological entities? Will you discover the world’s more closely guarded secrets and save its people before it’s too late?

Current State of the Game

The game currently features over 20+ hours of gameplay as it progressively drip feeds players with new features and NSFW content. All but two major systems, the spell shop and army battles, are currently implemented into the game. About 20% of the story is currently complete, which is broken up into two sizable chapters full of side quests and additional content that rewards exploration and the completion of additional challenges.

Fractured Worlds is heavily inspired by the challenging RPGs often found during the PS1’s Golden Age – franchises like Breath of Fire and Suikoden. It’s constantly being balanced to offer a steady challenge that goes beyond simply spamming the attack button or a singular ability over and over. However, there are also “debug attacks” players can use if they simply wish to progress quickly through the story.

The NSFW content in Fractured Worlds is heavily centered around non-human characters/monstergirls – but there are human-on-human encounters as well and many of the non-human characters are quite human-like in their design/aesthetic.

Fetishes/NSFW content currently in the game include:

⦁Monstergirls/boys
⦁Light BDSM
⦁Corruption
⦁Futa
⦁Transformation
⦁Gay & Lesbian scenes

All M/M content is skippable via an option at the beginning of the game and opt-out warnings before the scenes begin.

Unique Game Mechanics/Systems

There are a multitude of unique RPG mechanics and systems, both planned and already implemented, in the game. Here is a list/short explanation of some of the major ones you can expect to see:

Familiars

Familiars are very unique to the lore of the game. They’re interactive companions that offer a wide variety of benefits throughout your journey. Once a character is contracted to a familiar, he or she can use that familiar’s item in battle to gain unique ability options in combat.

Familiars will also level-up alongside their contractors, making their items more powerful while also unlocking new abilities, and they even offer buffs and abilities that can be used outside combat too. Most familiars have their own story arcs that are tied to their contractors too and are often found featured in various NSFW-centric scenes and side-storylines.

Agents

Agents are people with unique skillsets who join your cause often as elite non-combat-centric members. Each agent offers unique missions tied to their background and personalities, which grant a variety of tangible and intangible rewards. They often serve to widen your influential reach outside of your main party, giving you the ability to impact the world beyond simply the quest/dungeon your party is currently working on.

Player Town System

This system is currently only partially implemented but is also a primary focus of many upcoming updates.

The player town comes with two important ratings players should pay attention to and impact: economy and moral.

The moral rating is the most important. Throughout the game your moral rating will take hits depending on your actions and parts of the story you naturally come across. Reaching a moral rating of 0 spells Game Over just as easily as having your party wiped out during a boss fight, so its best to pay attention for methods you can use to improve moral whenever possible.

The economy rating determines how much money your town has to invest it's used to upgrade the town and it also serves to unlock special benefits/side quests and storylines. As your town grows and new locations/shops become available, you’ll be able to experience new scripted and random events with your party members, as well as with other people who reside within the town itself.

Minimum System Specs

While RPG Maker games have the reputation of being able to run on a potato, I’m using the latest version of RPGMaker MV and have pushed the engine’s capabilities quite further than most other RPGMaker products. Of course, if you have a standard mid-tier gaming rig/laptop, you should be able to run the game without any stuttering or issues whatsoever, but those with ancient potatoes may experience frame drops and encounter other problems.

So I’ve created a minimum system specs list, located below, to help people assess how well they’ll be able to run the game. (You could also just run the public build and see for yourself.)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo or better
RAM: 2 GB (4 GB Recommended)
OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (32bit/64bit)
VIDEO CARD: DirectX 9/OpenGL 4.1 capable
FREE DISK SPACE: 1 GB (In addition to the space needed for the game itself, because caching)

And last, but not least, some links to many of the game’s contributors:

https://www.5-ish.com/ - 5Ish created many Facesets and did the Agares/Khural/Lepidia design work as well as the CGs
https://patreon.com/asera - Asera created the Mira CG and the Misc Action CG in the game.
http://darklywhite.deviantart.com/ - Chapalu contributed Designs/CGs, all of the humanoid battlers, Battle cut-ins, Qarinah Design/Art, Zhai-Ohl Design/Art
http://www.rebelracoon.com/ - Micheal Abom contributed general design work as well as the Chosen Battleship design, most of the overlay work and environmental effects.
http://www.akashics.moe/tag/aekashics/ - Created a lot of battlers.
