What is The Cryptonaturalist?
It's a bi-weekly audio drama (scripted/fictional podcast) in the tradition of classic nature documentaries, but profoundly weirder. The show has been called "Night Vale meets A Prairie Home Companion" and "David Attenborough meets The X Files." The podcast loves cryptids (hidden creatures like Big Foot), but focuses solely on creatures you've never heard of before. Expect new and amazing animals, otherworldly locations, featured fiction and poetry from talented guest contributors, and field reports from fascinating lovers of strange nature. Beyond the podcast, The Cryptonaturalist posts a constant stream of odd, poetic, and sometimes philosophical observations about life, science, and the natural world on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. There are also several book projects currently being developed.

The Cryptonaturalist is strange nature for strange people. Weird tales and cryptid fun awaits. cryptonaturalist.com

Why should I contribute?
The Cryptonaturalist is a labor of love. It takes a lot of work, caffeine, hosting fees, equipment, and a surprising amount of time. Your support let's me know that you want more episodes. Writing, recording, and editing can be difficult and lonely work. Knowing a community of listeners supports that work makes all the difference.

I sincerely appreciate your support. Welcome to The Cryptonaturalist community. I will be cooking up new rewards, bonus content, and a world of creatures that defy all logic. See you online, in the woods, or at The Waffle House.

Thank you so much for being a part of this weird, weird project.
