My name is Dana Rongione, and I am in the full-time ministry of encouragement.  This ministry branches out into several areas such as devotional blogs, audio Bible studies, speaking engagements and more, but the main focus is the writing of books that speak to the lost and hurting in this world. When I left my teaching job 10 years ago to go into this full-time writing ministry, I had no idea that God would use my efforts to encourage hearts around the world. I am married to my best friend and serve as "mommy" to my rotten dog, Mitch.  My days are typically filled with writing, editing, website maintenance, housework, and the occasional consumption of chocolate.  (Okay, who am I kidding?  There's a lot of chocolate consumed in this house!)  I love herbal tea and long hikes with my husband and dog.  But above all, I love sharing the gospel of Christ and feel blessed beyond all measure that the Lord has called me to such a noble occupation.

I write all types of Christian books, ranging from fiction for young children to devotional and Christian Living books for adults.  My devotional series, Giggles and Grace:  Daily Devotionals for Women, is highly popular as is my middle-grade mystery series, The Delaware Detectives.  As of yet, I do not have anything for young adults, but I am currently working on a series to fill that void, and I am very excited about it as it allows me to combine two of my passions:  the Bible and medieval Camelot.  You can find an entire listing of the books I offer along with information about each at my website,  DanaRongione.com.

I firmly believe in adage, “Ministry is not about the income; it's about the outcome.” While I am not in this ministry to make money, it does take money to maintain it, and that's where you come in. Here are just a few things your partnership will enable me to do:

1.) Produce more content.
Unfortunately, full-time writing doesn't mean writing full-time. Much of my time is spent on tedious and time-consuming tasks like website maintenance, blog design, editing, podcast formatting and much more. With enough money, I could hire out these tasks andfocus on churning out more books. After all, the list of book ideas that the Lord has given me is enormous and constantly growing. Outsourcing these other necessary tasks would free up more time for me to just write.

2.) Spend more one-on-one time with you.
Over the years, many people have reached out to me for help, encouragement and biblical training. I've done my best to help each one as much as possible, but as you can imagine, it can become time-consuming. On top of that, what I've discovered is that I'm often giving the same answers or advice because people are dealing with similar issues. Becoming a partner gives you a chance to become part of a community where we can chat and share our burdens. You'll have direct access to me as well as to others who may be facing the same struggles you're facing. Together, we can lift each other up and share the love of Christ.

3.) Give more to those who need extra love and care.
Christian authors are often called upon to donate books to worthy causes, but what many people often fail to realize is that the authors must cover all the expenses, including purchasing the books and paying for postage. Over the years, I have donated books to missionaries, prison ministries, orphanages and even police departments, but I would love to do more. What if these words of encouragement could reach nursing homes, crisis centers, homeless shelters and much more throughout the world? With your help, we could accomplish that goal.

4.) Upgrade the ministry.
Fortunately for the “starving artists” like me, the technological world offers a lot of free options for blog posting, podcast recording and even publishing. Unfortunately, the old adage “you get what you pay for” comes into play. While these free options are enough to get an author started, they do have their limitations. For example, I recently had to reduce my weekday devotions to four days a week as I couldn't afford the upgrade that was required by my email provider. I have run into similar issues with my blog and website. There are things I would love to do to make my sites and products more attractive and user-friendly, but such changes cost money. Your monthly support would open new doors of possibility for my ministry.

The beauty of Patreon is that I am able to offer various levels of rewards to my supporters.  Everyone who joins my ministry community will obviously have my heartfelt thanks, but you'll also have access to posts and updates that no one else will be able to view.  In addition, each level of patronage comes with its own rewards and perks, so be sure to check out the "Rewards" section on the right to see what I'm offering.  Lastly, I believe that God blesses those who bless others.  Not everyone can afford to give, and I understand that.  But for those of you who can, I truly believe that God will reward you above and beyond what you contribute.  That's just how loving and gracious He is!

Proverbs 25:11 says, A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
I long to speak those words. God has given me the message.
Will you help me get it into the hands and hearts of those who need it?

With this amount of regular income, I could take my writing ministry to a new level.  I would be able to afford to hire out tedious and time-consuming tasks like website work, marketing, editing, podcast editing and so on and instead spend that time churning out many new books and chatting with you, my faithful followers.  Additionally, I would be able to donate more books to prisons, orphanages and other worthy causes.
