Greetings and Salutations. I'm Derrick Ferguson. But of course you know that already. What you want to know is what I'm doing here on Patreon and why you should give up your hard earned money and put it in my pocket.

Well, first off I'm taking it as a given that you've some familiarity with me and my work be it through my novels and/or my stories in various anthologies which you can find at Amazon.com Or maybe you heard me as a guest on a podcast or you were a regular listener of "Better In The Dark" the podcast I co-hosted for a goodly number of years. Or maybe you've read my movie reviews over The Ferguson Theater

It really don't matter how you got here. The point is you are and I hope to keep you coming back by means of giving you content well in advance of the hoi polloi. There will be a Dillon serial running constantly. Soon as I finish one, another will start a month or two later. So if you're a Dillon fan you'll get to read a brand new adventure a year ahead of everybody else. Nifty, right?
I'll also be dropping in short stories and novellas that for one reason or another haven't been seen for a while in print or I've been hiding away in my files for one reason or another.

So what AM I doing with the money you're donating? I'd actually like to get back into podcasting but on a more professional level. So I'm socking the money away while I get educated on equipment, editing, the technical stuff I was too lazy to learn about before. So that's something on the horizon you can look forward to.

But by all means, whatever you'd like to see from me here, do not hesitate to let me know. The bottom line to all of this is communication and the more you let me know what you want, the more I can give you.

Okay, that's it. Thank you for your time and patience and as always, God Bless.

Here's the deal: you sign up for $1 a month and every month you'll receive a brand spanking new chapter of "Dillon and The Prophecy of Fire" !

$5 or more per month
Hopefully most of you are familiar with The Ferguson Theater where I review favorite movies of mine and hopefully of yours as well. In fact, many of you have asked me if I would take requests. It's something that I've been unable to do up until now because now I've got a way to make it worth my time and yours as well. So here's what we're gonna do. For $5 a month you'll get that chapter of "Dillon and The Prophecy of Fire" each month and you can request THREE movies that you would like me to review. And in addition you will also get a new chapter of

“Diamondback I: It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time”

Now, let's get one thing straight right from the git-go: don't waste my time or yours asking me to review porn or some obscure eleven hour Dutch documentary on fjords or some such nonsense, okay? I'm more than happy to watch and review movies but if you want to play games then I'd rather you just kept your money and this way we all stay friends. And there are some movies that for purely personal reasons I refuse to watch ("The Human Centipede") for example and if such is the case I will communicate with you personally and explain why I won't watch it and maybe we can agree on some other movie.

And yes, after I review the first three you suggest you can feel free to suggest three more. And three more after that. And...okay, you get the gist. As long as you keep shoving your $5 at me, you can keep getting reviews. Okay? Okay. We move on.

So what do you get for your hard earned $8?

You get a new chapter of "Dillon and The Prophecy of Fire" and  “Diamondback I: It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time”

each and every month.

You get to request three movies you'd like me to review for The Ferguson Theater.

And you get a two-hour Google Hangout chat with me.

That's right. At a mutually agreed upon time and day you can ruthlessly and brutally interrogate me about all the intimate details of my life. I dunno how much fun it'll be but it won't be boring, that's for sure.

You get a lot of bang for your $10 bucks. I'm almost ashamed of how much I'm giving away. Here we go:

You get the monthly chapter of "Dillon and The Prophecy of Fire"

You get the monthly chapter of  “Diamondback I: It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time”

You get to request 3 movie reviews
You get the two-hour Google Hangout chat with me.
And I'm also going to throw in an autographed copy of the original 2003 edition of Dillon and The Voice of Odin. This is the one where it all began and you can get your hot little hands on it for a pittance. Who knows? It could be a Collector's Item one day!
