Hello! If you are able to read this you probably use a computer or other technology. If you use technology you most likely worry about malware.

Malware is a program made to use your computer for malicious purposes, and most recently it has been able to hide itself more and use your information to gain money.

The best way to protect yourself against malware is to use an 'Antivirus' software. Antivirus software is very common and sometimes is preinstalled on laptops. If you do not know, antivirus companies have databases with samples of very many computer viruses.

Though antivirus software usually does its job at protecting you, there are some issues; they will not have samples for extremely recent computer viruses and because of that you may be at risk if the person that wants to damage your computer can code, which is very simple.

My idea was to make something more - something that has at least a 99% success rate, and with my other tech-savvy friends, that is exactly what we plan on doing.

The idea is to make a program that does not only determine if a program or file is malware if it matches with a sample on a database. Instead it will read through the code of the files to see if it has malicious or possibly malicious commands.

Here is how it will work: upon installation it will scan through all available directories for programs that can be run (not only .exe files), then it will list every file and with built-in decompilers it will look through the code for suspicious commands. If the file is encrypted it will prompt you and ask if you trust the app as most ransomware is heavily encrypted. If this plan fails, instead we will code a sort of 'sandbox application' that will run the executable files securely and if the file outputs a suspicious or obviously malicious command it will prompt the user for deletion.

Please allow me to get personal with you. I am only 15 but I take great interest in computer viruses and malware. Some companies have made similar programs to the 'sandbox application' but I want to make it quick and easy. I am passionate about this project, I want to make it happen.

Thank you

This will be the only tier. As the project may take awhile, the final result will be inexpensive. As patrons support us, they will be given a copy of the final product without extra charge as it should be. If you choose to be a patron you will also be able to see patron-only content. Patron-only content will be nerdy posts about the code of the project, if you are not a patron you will still be able to see the progress.
