Damn. This is where I try to keep my content interesting for you to help keep the lights on my podcast...

Here is goes.
Four years ago I started a podcast, a music podcast. It's called Everything and the Kitchen Sink. It's as grassroots as you can get for a music podcast. I cover a mess of genres, independent bands from all over the world and a heavy focus on Canadian content. Sometimes, I have guests on the show. I make sure that I try to put my very best into each podcast as much as my cheap ass equipment will let me do.

I put hyperlinks on all my playlists to help direct web traffic back to the band, hell maybe someone will buy their nonsense too. I have a feature on my website called "Bands Featured On EatKS" where every single band every played on my show has a direct link to help fans purchase their music. Go see for yourself copy the link... http://eatks.net/bands-featured-on-eatks/
I collaborate and network with as many podcasters, bloggers, on various types of content that I think is meaningful to my listeners.
If it this was about a popularity contest, my podcast would have probably suffered in the quality I put out. I don't do weekly shows, but I don't just put out a show for the sake of having a weekly show. That's the freedom that being an independent podcaster has given me. I try put out 2 quality shows a month and my listeners are happy with that.
I support music other ways via my crazy ass website EatKS.net and also through my twitter specials such as #NoPantsRecordStoreShopping .

I am also paying for a license and I am acquiring more; to be that legit music podcaster that gives back as much as she can to the music community while remaining independent.

I want a better sounding quality show, which would require better equipment than a snowflake microphone, audacity, and a mac...I want cover my licences and my website server. I even the costs by uploading my own content on iTunes rather than using a company that will give me a website and put up my content for me! And of course, I want to buy ALL the indie music on bandcamp, but most importantly... I want to keep the lights on this show for as long as I can and make it grow into a super duper music community that celebrates being a music junkie.

What am I offering you in return for your support.... Everything and the Kitchen Sink.
get it? hahahahaha!
