Why pay money for something you've been getting for free?
Good question! Because artists eventually need to be supported by the people who value the work. That support used to come from newspapers and magazines, but those days are ending.
Patreon offers a platform where my experience, abilities and my love of the craft itself can be supported by people just like you. Yes, I can continue to draw editorial cartoons for free, but it devalues them. Working for nothing sends the wrong message. Patreon provides a way to encourage innovation and growth for the creative community I’m a part of.
