Hello, and thanks for visiting my Patreon page. My name's Toby and I launched my YouTube channel Epic History TV in 2015. Why? Because I love history, and after my history degree I spent more than 15 years making history documentaries for TV in the UK. It's been a great job and I've been very lucky, but it can also be quite frustrating: TV networks always want documentaries on the same topics, and they rarely go into as much depth as many of us would like.

So I decided to launch my own history channel. Somewhere where I can create and share the kind of videos that I, as a fully paid-up history nerd, would want to watch. They're short, dramatic, carefully researched and full of information. You can watch videos about the Battle of Waterloo, World War One, Russian history and Blackbeard the pirate right now, or there's the massive four-part history of Alexander the Great. Begin here...

I plan to cover a wide range of topics, guided by regular votes from my Patreon supporters, so who knows what will be next.

I research, write and animate all Epic History TV videos myself. They're great fun to make but take a lot of time, and images, music, and software cost money. Specialist channels like mine do not make big bucks through YouTube adverts. This means Epic History TV depends on support from history lovers like you, through this Patreon page. So if you share my love of history and think there ought to be more well-researched, professionally produced, freely-available history on the internet, please consider supporting Epic History TV - and a huge thanks to all of you who are already contributing.

If you chose to support the channel, you'll get access to various rewards - exclusive production updates, sneak peeks, early access, your name in the credits and a vote on future topics!

Donations are 'per video' (I try to release a video roughly every 4-6 weeks), and you can put a monthly cap on your donation, or change your pledge or cancel at any time. Every dollar you pledge goes towards production of future Epic History TV videos.

Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoy the videos!
