Thank you for your support!
I will inevitably view you with a positive bias, and treat you accordingly in all of our dealings. Reputation +1 with me.
On a more tangible level, you will receive all my games for free. Past, future, whatever. You get 'em.
You will also get exclusive looks at early builds, weird blog posts, etc.
At this point, you have my attention -- literally, I want an open line of communication between us. Do you want creative input on some stuff? Can I help you promote something? This is where we can work that out.
My name is Eric Bailey. I like Jesus, writing, coffee, bad jokes, and old video games.
For years I have been blogging, podcasting, launching websites... generally Creating Content and stirring up harmless online mischief. My central hub of activity is on Twitter, @EricVBailey.
Now, I'm making games.
You can see the fruits of my labor on my itch.io page, and follow updates on Twitter at my gamedev label, Tiny Bookshelf. At the time of writing (late 2019) I am in the middle of working on my first commercial game, which (hopefully?!) will release sometime in 2020. Although I am self-aware that my stuff lacks polish and has a certain rough-around-the-edges quality right now, I wholly expert the quality to only rise.
Speaking generally -- my personal finances are still tight enough that I really appreciate (and use!) your assistance.
Now that I'm doing game-makin' stuff, I have more concrete ways to interact with supporters. Anyone pledging will receive all my games for free, along with exclusive in-development peeks and access to weird prototypes, early builds, etc.
Patreon support enables me to collaborate with other creative folks and contribute to a greater end than I could reach alone. That could mean commissioning a graphic, or a soundtrack for a game, or a cool feature on my blog. The more support I receive, the more opportunities will unlock. I have tons of ideas, just a matter of being able to make them reality.
I'll still probably partake in social media mischief and the occasional writing. If you want to support me just because you enjoy my wholesome endeavors online, thank you. I certainly appreciate that, too.
And if you would like to support me but cannot make a monthly commitment, one-time contributions can go to my Ko-Fi page.
Let me know if you have any questions.
