Hi friend! I’m Erin and I run a YouTube channel called Erin's Travels. I make videos about expat life, travel (including solo travel with my preschooler), food, and raising kids abroad. In 2018, my husband Jesse and I sold most of our belongings and quit the 9-to-5 corporate scene to make a life for ourselves south of the border—it was the best decision we ever made. Our daughter Harper spent her third year of life in Mexico, eating all the cheese quesadillas she could. (She regularly provides dinosaur toys and Paw Patrol figurines for backdrops in the vlogs.)

In 2019, we moved back to the United States to make a home for ourselves near family. Our story is one of change and flexibility as we decide year-by-year what's best for ourselves and our daughter. But some things won't be changing—we'll always be traveling, and Mexico will always be calling us back. Your support on Patreon will allow us to answer that call as often as we can.

My favorite part of YouTube is getting to know subscribers: seeing your comments and kind emails has been the best unexpected benefit of vlogging. Patreon will allow me to connect more meaningfully with a group of you who want a little more access than I can give on YouTube.

I want this Patreon page to feel like a little family. A safe place where we can chat, get to know one another, and connect. YouTube is a bit like the wild, wild west. The comments section there isn't a safe space for us to be ourselves, to share who we are and what we love. I can't effectively police the sprawling comments section. I can't protect you or myself from abuse there. I can here.

You won't find reward tiers on my Patreon because I want to use this platform a little differently than you're supposed to. I don't want to treat people differently based on how much money they contribute. I want to create a place where you want to come because you like how you feel when you're here. I want to thank you for your support and there will be membership perks, but they won't be tied to how much you can "pay" for them. So give what you want to contribute; whether you can give $1 or $20 a month, you're all equally important to me.

Sending you so much love. Blessings, friends. Be well.
