I am a writer, painter, pornographer, model, actor, occasional stand up comic, Would be photographer, documentarian, illustrator, reformed fashion designer, and general artist.
So just what do I do?
I’m interested in Taboo, Self Vs Society, Sex and Erotica, Mutability, and Transformation.
Having worked in various traditional and digital media, costuming and fashion, and theatre and film, I’ve been looking to bring all of these things together into a more cohesive and meaningful whole.
I’m currently working toward a gallery show, which will feature works in Encaustic, Oil, possibly film and installation pieces too.
If things continue according to plan (they won’t) this should be happening sometime around next March.
Most of my work I’ve been posting here will be for sale at that time, and I’ll be giving Patreon backers first refusal as well as discounted pricing on all prints and original work so there’s a good reason to support me right there.
A Grander Design
After producing my first pornographic film “Twitterbating” (viewable here on Pink Label), and in spite of winning a Feminist Porn Award for the work, I realized that as much as I love pornography as an artistic form, the associated market place was unlikely to be receptive to the type of film I really wanted to make, in fact, Film as a medium was no longer entirely sufficient.
Having spent most of 2015 pursuing painting in Encaustic, and then Oil, I began to rethink what exactly it was I wanted to do.
I’d actually spent a good deal of time feeling pretty hopeless about the idea of getting back into film, but toward the end of the Summer, My partner Sienna Coppa and I started to discuss working on more collaborative artistic projects.
From these conversations came the idea of something not quite cinema, not quite installation, not quite simple painting or photography, but rather a multi disciplinary world for all these things to inhabit.
Starting with a film concept, we will work to design a glimpse of a world through costuming, set and prop design, location and performance. The film will then be the jumping off point for a series of paintings and photographs that explore the subject matter more fully than we could hope to in film alone.
The end result will be short pieces of cinema that live inside of an exploded visual universe.
Why you should become my Patron
If you like the work I’m currently producing, and would like to see more, being paid to do it certainly speeds up my process. Beyond that though, whilst I don’t offer specific backer rewards, you will find a lot of fun perks.
- Patrons get first refusal when I make pieces available for sale, and will benefit from discounted prices.
- Random goodies! I’m giving away one or two life drawing studies each month, and as I get to work on more elaborate projects I’ll make a lot of the supporting material available to patrons.
- Artist engagement, you can totally chat to me and stuff. I’ll be working on a monthly google hangout starting Dec 2015. Maybe it’ll become weekly.
- That warm glow you get from supporting the arts.
- Credit as a backer in shows, film credits, other places where people like me say thank you to wonderful folks like your fine self.
