Thank you for stopping by!  I'm Nick, and I run Forest City Short Film Review.  Since 2013, I've been reviewing short films and interviewing cast and crew of the best of them.

If you're a filmmaker -- and something tells me you are -- then you know how hard it is to get a real, honest opinion of your work.  Ever wonder why?  Well, most websites are making money per click on your review page, so they are making money when you are sharing their review . . . and not many people share a bad review.  It's understandable, but where's the truth in that?  How does a false positive review help you, the filmmaker?

At Forest City Short Film Review, I've become known for my honest reviews and critical eyes.  When I review your work, I'm not just telling you whether I like it or not.  I divide the score your film gets into five categories (Writing, Directing, Editing, Sound/Music and Acting) and talk about each in detail so that if your film has merit in any of these areas, you'll know it.  If your film has shortcomings, I'll offer constructive criticism on how to up your film game for your next short.

But don't take my word for it.  Here's what others are saying about FCSFR:
"Writer Nicholas La Salla is one of the most eloquent film critics on the web."
-- Ryan Robins, Writer/Director of Cold Fox Films
"Thorough and insightful. His interview [with writer/director Francisco Lorite] was hands down one of the best we've read with any director."
-- David Chen, Head of Business Development at FilmBundle.com
"What I really appreciate is that [Nicholas] looked at the film's credits, and then paid each key player their earned respect. He took the time to appreciate the many puzzle pieces that created this final image. That's something more film sites could benefit from."
-- Ralph Suarez, Writer/Director of Warm Milk Productions
