Hello good people, I'm F.K. Preston. Welcome and thank you for visiting.

A writer’s duty is to give the reader exactly what they desire. Nothing more and nothing less. Creating and consuming art is one of life's greatest pleasures. This account is dedicated to helping me create stories through art and writing. Previous works of mine include The Artist, The Audience and a Man Called Nothing, Goodbye, Mr. Nothing, Goodbye, Mr. Nothing as well as other short stories and poems. Of course, as always, more stories are on their way!

Writing fiction is my passion. Stories which dip into the fantasy of dreams, the psychological thrills and horrors of fractured minds and surrealist lands are themes I commonly write within. I grew up listening to stories about enchanted lands and magic. There is wonder in this place. Dragons and magicians exist in these paper-bound worlds. We only need open a book and recline into the mind of an author's thoughts in order to experience the thrill of a captivating story.

Stories change the world. They change minds. They alter perspectives into grander things. They motivate people to dream. Never underestimate the power of a compelling narrative.

But at the heart of it, I write because without it I would be miserable. If an individual can sit down for an evening's worth of time, feeling either depressed, empty or furious, and create art out of that pain, that is something priceless. That is the power of a good story. The power of art.

Thank you for considering this artist. Know that your attention is greatly appreciated. And that's all artists really want at the end of the day; attention and an audience to create for.

To quote from ... A Man Called Nothing: "I stand alone on a stage made of memories. I stand upright and rigid in front of a crowd of my past, while my future lies in the lines I recite and the motions my form moves to. This is living. The performance that is existence. This is art. This is what I live and breathe for."
