My name is Dani; I write webcomics and illustrate fantasy/science fiction ranging from cartoons to semi-realism.

My passions for art, science, and fantasy fiction have been with me since childhood, and I'm doing my darnedest to make a career out of them. Which, as I pursue a BFA in studio art / minor in biology, is quite the undertaking.

My Webcomic:

My main focus right now--and the main focus of this Patreon, hence the URL--is the webcomic Falling Leaves, which has been in conceptual development since 2014 and began February of this year.

Ninea the Messenger: One of many charged to receive messages from the elusive Archivists and to deliver them to their destination.
This routine is her life, her purpose.
And then the day comes when she finds something alien, a sign of an insidious threat meant to go forever unnoticed.
With this revelation the world begins to crash down around her, literally. The Archivists too have discovered this danger, yet their solution is unthinkable:

The Falling Leaves Protocol, an irreversible trajectory toward their dying world's end.

As Ninea leads the people to a semblance of safety, she finds herself face to face with unexpected opposition; much that was thought to be legend is truth, destruction in the guise of salvation.

Falling Leaves is a webcomic with a sci-fi premise based on DNA/molecular biology.
Find it on  its own website and on Tumblr.
It updates with a page on Mon/Wed/Fri.
[Disclaimer: I'm not a biologist, I research cell bio for fun and the comic's not meant to be educational or entirely accurate. Just a fun sci-fi story.]

The domain name, paper and ink, future convention booths and merch--all of these things cost money. Each page takes me about an hour to ink and 3.5 hours to color, so multiply that by the number of pages out per month and it gives you an idea of how much is put into the comic. I want to tell a story first and foremost, and to be able to make that story visible on this glorious medium of the internet, but that means that I'm not being paid a page-by-page rate.

So every little bit of support is appreciated greatly, and helps me make the comic even better, and in the long run helps me keep it up!

Tiers are on hold until I have time to deliver on them.
If you want to continue supporting me, that's great! Just know there's not much in return right now. I'll set up commissions soon.

In addition to writing Falling Leaves, I am a fantasy/scifi illustrator. I do original illustration and fanart alike, in both digital and traditional media.
