About Me
Hello! I'm Melissa Ebbe, the primary creative force behind Feral Works.
I have a BFA from UW-Madison, and an MA and MFA from UW-Milwaukee. I used to teach in the university system, but now I create art full-time. I'm trained in the traditional art of oil painting, but I prefer to work as a sculptor and am profoundly influenced by special effects, movies, television and comics
Feral Works has been my business from 2007. I am passionate about creating and Feral Works has given me a means to support myself since about 2010.
Why Support My Patreon?
I am extremely grateful for each and every sale that I make, but Patreon gives me the steady income I need to keep creative and doing what I love! Moreover, a consistent income allows me more time to give back! I'm a big believer in sharing my knowledge. I will continue to do so, as I think sharing is important to allow art to progress as a whole. However, my current schedule doesn't allow me the time to make tutorials or share things on a broader scale.
Rest assured that I will continue to share my work on social media and answer peoples' questions as best I can within my time budget, regardless of their support of my Patreon. But I wanted to have a means to give back to those who help me continue to produce! Your patronage will allow me to continue teaching (something I very much enjoy).
What is Patreon?
Patreon is a service that allows individuals to donate money to their favorite artists. Most artists have rewards based on the donation level. Patreon is much like Kickstarter, but instead of a finite product goal, donations go towards investing in the artist.
