This mag is made BY the community FOR the community. With your help, Firestarter can become more independent to help cultivate an environment you want to work and grow in. Our magazine highlights events and their speaker's knowledge, and educates about just every field that is relevant to creatives all around the world. In the magazine you find interviews, lectures, reviews of crowdfunding campaigns and books, but also highlights newcomers and legends of the community (no matter if 2D, 3D, traditional or digital). There is much more to find so just get your copy and don't keep your discovery for yourself :)

We also publish frequent articles on our homepage, accessible for everyone and free to share with your friends. Find more information on firestartermagazine.com

Thank you for your support that lets us make this community a little more connected.

The magazine for the community, in print and digital
Firestarter Mag was launched in June 2017 during the IFCC in Zagreb and since then it came out twice a year. It has been quite a journey! From the small booklet of 80 pages that was produced in cooperation with the festival, it has grown to an independent full sized magazine of over 180 pages. While it was highlighting seven festivals back then, now we have the content of over 20 events worldwide and a collection of lectures and interviews with professional creatives like Dan LuVisi, Pablo Carpio, Geoffrey Ernault, Even Mehl Amundsen, Maxx Burman, Kim Jung Gi, Nadezda, Marc Simonetti, Finnian MacManus and many many more.

Crossmedial networking
Besides the printed magazine that collects the knowledge of the event's speakers and shows the information about the worldwide festivals, Firestarter has an additional website that has even more articles of different categories and also an extensive calendar and map for events of all sizes. The website is in constant development, to get better in connecting creatives all around the world and provide a better network.

We also provide a forum which is managed by Björn Hurri who hosts Warmup-sessions through twitch-streams from Monday till Friday which are aimed to motivate you to improve daily, hand in hand with the community. Besides that you have a profile to show your newest work and tell the community who you are and what you do.

Other sections of Firestarter
• Pyrecast: The Podcast with Cristian Chihaia and guests
• WarmUp: 30 mins with Björn Hurri. Sketching on Twitch!
• Firestarter Talk: Panels at events with community topics
• Firestarter Artbooks: Artwork from around the world

We constantly develop new features for you. If you want to stay updated on the newest content of the page and the changes that are about to happen, subscribe to the newsletter.

Everything that Firestarter creates is available for free anyway. From the mags that are available for free in print and download, the web content, the panels at events or our frequently updated calendar. What we can give, we will give it to the community. If you feel like giving back for this, know that you help us to keep doing all this and for that we are grateful. Every amount helps!
